Human Resources Specialist (Temporary)

Bennington College invites applications for a temporary Human Resources Specialist.  Working in partnership with our Human Resources team, the specialist is responsible for contributing to all aspects of the employee experience.  The consultant will primarily focus on full life-cycle recruiting - sourcing and hiring highly engaged and talented staff.  The specialist may assist with performance management, employee relations, leave management and compliance efforts.  

The role will require a nimble, well organized, person who can successfully support people and projects in a fast-paced, small-team work environment. The ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly (verbal and written) with a wide range of staff and candidates is of critical importance. Strong organizational and project management skills are also key as is the ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities. A strong technology orientation with experience using Office, Gmail and Google Drive; experience using applicant tracking systems desired.  Two or more years demonstrated recruitment experience and a general working knowledge of major human resources functional areas is preferred.

The position will be part time, 5-20 hours per week for 10 weeks, with the potential for a longer term part time appointment. Preference is for on-site work, but we will consider alternate arrangements.
